Week 3

Week 3-4-10 thru 4-16-2011

Sunday 10th, 12-5pm, 5hrs.

Edited pictures from the cover shoot and the Melissa Carter event from the day before.

Monday 11th 10:30-10pm. 11hrs 30min

We meet for the weekly meeting today and discussed events and issues for the weekly magazine.
After the meeting, Torren and I went over the final images for the Cover pictures and seen at’s for local bars.
I also put out a casting call for local models and tried to find models for the swimsuit shoot.

In the afternoon, Torren and I went to different locations around town that were possible locations for David events. I went with him while he was networking and checking up on leads.

We then went back to the office to pick up magazines for the outing at Blake’s. Once at Blake’s I had to take pictures for the seen at’s. Torren and I also meet an individual who we thought would be good for modeling in the swimsuit issue. Torren and he exchanged contact information to set up an interview.

Friday 15th 10am-2pm, 8-9pm, 5 hrs

Today I was at the office to interview possible models for the swimsuit shoot at David. We had two models show up who were interested. Torren had them fill out paper work. We gave them numbers and I took model shoots of them.

Later Torren and I discussed and planned out ideas for the swimsuit shoot and possible locations.


Skills Learned: This week I learned a lot about networking. Torren and I went and meet up with possible leads face to face. I noticed how important it was to have the face-to-face interaction with clients.
I also learned that trade could be a very helpful resource when you may need locations, models or skills from other people.
